The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Canisius College is hiring a Teaching Post-Doctoral Fellow in Biochemistry beginning in January of 2020.  The position is for one year with the possibility of renewal:  The position requires the applicant to have completed or be near completion of a PhD in Biochemistry (with a strong background in chemistry) with research experience in biochemistry, bio-organic, biomaterials, and/or analytical biochemistry.  Post-Doc will be responsible for teaching three course sections per semester (either 1 lecture and 2 laboratory classes or 1 laboratory and 2 lecture classes).   These courses include junior level Introduction to Biochemistry with Laboratory, Cellular Biochemistry, Molecular Biology with Laboratory, as well as a sophomore level Organic Chemistry Laboratory section.  In addition, the applicant is expected to conduct research in biochemistry, involving undergraduate students, during the summer months.
